MyBuddyHome — House Rules

Welcome home.

MyBuddyHome is a shared home designed for people staying in Cairo for a month or longer. You have your own private space, while some areas — including the kitchen, salon and outdoor terrace — are shared with other residents.

Our rules are simple:

Respect the home. Respect the people. Enjoy your stay.

1. Respect & Community

Please treat all residents, guests, neighbors and staff with kindness and respect.

Harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, aggressive behavior or any behavior that makes another person feel unsafe is not permitted.

Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and welcome at MyBuddyHome.

2. Quiet Hours

Please keep noise to a minimum between:

10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

During quiet hours:

• Keep conversations and music at a low volume.
• Use headphones for loud entertainment.
• Avoid activities that may disturb other residents.
• Be considerate when entering or leaving the property.

3. Shared Kitchen

The kitchen is shared by all residents.

Please:

• Clean dishes and cooking equipment after use.
• Wipe counters and surfaces after cooking.
• Return items to their proper places.
• Keep personal food organized.
• Respect food belonging to other residents.
• Do not leave rubbish or food waste in shared areas.

Please leave the kitchen as you would like to find it.

4. Shared Salon

The salon is a shared living space.

Please keep it comfortable for everyone:

• Keep noise at a reasonable level.
• Keep the area tidy.
• Return furniture and shared items to their places.
• Respect other residents' personal space.
• Don't leave personal belongings spread throughout the room.

5. Outdoor Terrace & Pyramid View

The outdoor terrace is a shared space for residents.

Please:

• Keep the area clean.
• Respect other residents using the space.
• Don't reserve furniture when you are not using it.
• Keep noise reasonable, especially at night.
• Take care of the outdoor furniture.

Important

The Pyramid view from the outdoor area is a shared amenity, not a private facility belonging to an individual suite.

6. Cleanliness

Please keep your private room reasonably clean and tidy.

Shared areas should be left clean after use.

If you spill something, damage something, or notice a maintenance problem, please let us know as soon as possible.

7. Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside bedrooms or indoor shared areas.

If a designated outdoor smoking area is provided, smoking should only take place there.

Please dispose of cigarette waste safely.

Never throw cigarette butts from windows, balconies or terraces.

8. Visitors

Visitors are welcome provided they respect the home and other residents.

Overnight guests require prior approval from MyBuddyHome.

The maximum occupancy of the booked suite must not be exceeded.

Visitors are also expected to follow these House Rules.

9. Parties & Events

MyBuddyHome is a residential long-stay home.

Parties, events and large gatherings are not permitted without prior approval.

Please be considerate of other residents and our neighbors.

10. Privacy

Please respect everyone's privacy.

Do not enter another resident's room without their permission.

Do not use another person's belongings without permission.

Photography or recording of other residents without their consent is not permitted.

11. Security

Please keep entrance doors and other access points secure.

Do not give keys, access codes or other property access information to unauthorized people.

If you lose a key or access device, please inform MyBuddyHome immediately.

12. Furniture & Property

Please treat the furniture, appliances, decorations and equipment with care.

Do not move large furniture, install fixtures or make alterations without permission.

Any damage beyond normal wear and tear should be reported as soon as possible.

Guests may be responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs resulting from damage they cause.

13. Energy & Water

Please help us use energy and water responsibly.

When leaving your room:

• Turn off unnecessary lights.
• Turn off appliances when they are not needed.
• Close doors and windows when using air conditioning.
• Avoid unnecessary water consumption.

Please don't leave the air conditioning running continuously while you are away.

14. Pets

Pets are only permitted with prior approval from MyBuddyHome.

Approved pets must not disturb other residents or cause damage to the property.

15. Illegal Activities

The property must not be used for illegal activities or activities that create a safety risk for residents, guests, staff or neighbors.

All guests are expected to comply with applicable Egyptian laws and regulations.

16. Safety

Please do not block or interfere with:

• Emergency exits
• Stairways
• Hallways
• Fire extinguishers
• Smoke detectors
• Other safety equipment

Do not tamper with safety equipment.

Please report safety or maintenance problems immediately.

17. Long-Stay Community

MyBuddyHome is designed for long stays of 30 nights or more.

Because residents may share the home for an extended period, communication and consideration are important.

A few simple habits make everyone's experience better:

Clean up after yourself.

Respect quiet hours.

Respect privacy.

Share the common spaces.

Take care of the home.

Treat others the way you'd like to be treated.

18. Violations

Serious or repeated violations of these House Rules may result in a warning, charges for damage, cancellation of a reservation, or termination of the stay where permitted by the applicable Terms & Conditions and law.

If something isn't working or you have a concern, please let us know.

We would always prefer to solve a small problem early rather than let it become a bigger one.
